Instruction Minor

UW-Superior education programs are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to fulfill licensure requirements for the state of Wisconsin.  If you seek licensure in a state other than Wisconsin, please see the UW-Superior Institutional Certification Office web page for further information and assistance.

This minor is intended to be paired with an eligible DPI-approved licensure area offered at UW-Superior.  K-9 Elementary Education majors must complete this minor to be eligible for the Wisconsin K-9 teaching license. Student teaching and all other licensure requirements must also be successfully completed. This minor is not available to non-education majors.  A grade of C is required for all courses in this minor (except for B requirements in T ED 200 Introduction to Education and the pass requirement in T ED 100 Orientation to Teacher Education.)

Additional Minors Available for Elementary Education

The programming also offers two additional license opportunities for students completing the K-9 Elementary Education Major and the Instruction Minor.  These additional courses must be completed for a student to be eligible for a Wisconsin K-12 Special Education license and/or a Wisconsin Birth-Grade 3 license.  A grade of C is required for all courses.
