Visual Art Major - Art Education Concentration (Comprehensive)

Requirements

All K-12 Art licensure students must also meet the Professional Education Certification requirements.  Please see the Teacher Education section of the catalog for certification requirements.  Students are also required to have an Art content GPA of at least 3.0 or have an Art GPA of at least 2.75 and pass a subject-specific exam designated by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, before being placed for student teaching residency.

UW-Superior education programs are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to fulfill licensure requirements for the state of Wisconsin.  If you seek licensure in a state other than Wisconsin, please see the UW-Superior Institutional Certification Office web page for further information and assistance.
